It is with enormous pleasure and pride that the WSCXVI can announce that two distinguished icons of the saxophone world will participate in a Book and DVD signing at the WSC.
A Distinguished Artist Writes About a Distinguished Artist
Eugene Rousseau will be signing copies of his book Marcel Mule; His Life and the Saxophone in association with June Emerson Wind Music in Parliament Hall on Thursday 12th July - 3pm - 5pm and Saturday 14th July - 2pm - 3.30pm. This invaluable book on the great master Marcel Mule has been out of print for some years, and has been reprinted due to popular demand. A former student of Mule, Dr Rousseau tells the story of Mule as one of the driving forces behind the rise and rise of the saxophone as a concert solo instrument, and his magnificent contribution to establishing the saxophone quartet as a standard chamber music grouping. Why DID Ravel think the sopranino was in F? What does Selmer Mark VI mean? You'll have to buy it to find out....
Join Rico, Shelley Jagow, and Jean-Marie Londeix at the Rico trade stand in St Andrews Town Hall on Thursday 12th July - 10am and Saturday 14th July - 10am & 3pm for exclusive DVD signing time! The "Londeix Lectures" DVD is an historical research project recently completed by Rico artist and friend, Shelly Jagow. Don't miss your chance to meet this great icon in our field!
