The Funke Duo has been performing together for the past 5 years. The husband and wife duo, featuring Bill Funke on saxophone and Lauren Funke on flute, has presented numerous new works in the repertoire, including 'Backjump' by Ben Stonaker. Recently, both Lauren and Bill completed their DMA degrees in performance at Michigan State University under the tutelage of Joseph Lulloff and Richard Sherman. In March 2011, the Funke Duo premiered a new work for flute and alto saxophone by composer Phillip Sink at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial conference in Tempe, Arizona. The Duo currently resides in Waco, Texas and maintains an active performance and teaching schedule.

Untitled - Philip Sink

Untitled, is a single movement work for alto saxophone and flute that was commissioned by composer Phillip Sink in 2011. The piece was premiered at the NASA biennial conference in Tempe, Arizona in March of 2012.
