The ArtSax Duo
from PolandThe ensemble was formed in 2008 and the musicians are from different academic backgrounds working in Szczecin (Poland). It combines their love of chamber music created for saxophone and piano. The repertoire consists in canon of saxophone literature and many works by Polish composers, including compositions dedicated to The ArtSax Duo (Marek Jasinski, Jaromir Gajewski, Alicja Gronau-Osinska). The ensemble also performs arrangements of Polish music from different music periods (Karol Szymanowski, Henryk Wieniawski, Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Wladyslaw Zelenski, Adam Wronski).
Dr Dariusz Samol and Ewa Ruszala are lecturers at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, Poland.

Etude bflat minor - Karol Szymanowski
Etude b flat minor was oryginaly composed for piano. The ArtSax Duo adopted this piece for saxophone and piano in 2008. This allows the visibility of expression and beauty of melody by the two instruments.
